The Watermark

Five-Star Hotel Management Contract awarded.

Following consultation with a number of international and local hotel management teams, the Bolton Hotel has been chosen to operate The Watermark Boutique Hotel.

With hotel apartment sales now having reached a point where a management contract was able to be awarded, the decision to bring the Bolton on board was confirmed last week. Donald Stott stated "the choice was made easy, as not only did the current operation of the Bolton Hotel complement The Watermark Boutique Hotel perfectly, but the hands-on approach of the Bolton management team gave them a unique understanding of the Wellington accommodation market and the requirements of its clients. Coupled with this was their successful start-up and current operation of the Bolton Hotel."

Discussions between the Bolton's management team and Studio of Pacific Architecture are already underway, as the design team (lead by Stephen McDougall) work through the project's detailed design stage. The combined expertise of both these parties will ensure that all aspects required to create a truly 5-star hotel experience are achieved in The Watermark Boutique Hotel.

Some of the latest work from the Studio Pacific team has been on the design of The Watermark Boutique Hotel entrance lobby, and concepts of the detailed finishes and textures which are to be used can be seen below. The Watermark Boutique Hotel is scheduled to open in late 2010 - just in time for the rugby world cup.
